    Description

    Partnering with a well-established, manufacturing company in Denver, CO seeking a Staff Accountant.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare accurate month-end journal entries and adjustments to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

    • Assist with compiling month-end schedules and importing data for reporting purposes.

    • Reconcile and maintain various balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Support the preparation of financial statements and trial balances, collaborating with the Controller as needed.

    • Investigate and manage multi-state sales tax requirements to ensure proper compliance.

    • Process weekly payroll journal entries, manage 401(k) payments, and calculate related accruals.

    • Analyze pricing changes and ensure proper processing within the accounting system.

    • Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

    • Play a critical role in coordinating and executing the annual physical inventory.

    • Generate various management reports to provide insights into financial performance.

    Requirements

    The ideal Staff Accountant comes with...

     

    + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

    + 1+ year of full-cycle accounting experience, including monthly journal entries and reconciliations

    + Manufacturing industry experience - preferred but not required

    + ERP system experience
