Description

We are looking for a skilled Infusion AR/Collections Representative to join our team. In this role, you will focus on handling accounts receivable and collections processes, ensuring timely reimbursement from both commercial and government payers. This is a long-term contract position ideal for professionals with expertise in medical billing and collections, particularly in the healthcare field. To be considered, candidates must currently reside in the states of WA, OR, ID, CA or TX.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable by tracking overdue claims and ensuring timely collections from payers.

• Categorize denial reasons, verify insurance coverage, and review pre-certification or authorization details.

• Prepare appeals by gathering necessary medical documentation and submitting claims for resolution.

• Monitor claims throughout the entire collections cycle to ensure payment and closure.

• Communicate effectively with payers, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.

• Analyze claim rejections or denials and escalate unresolved issues when required.

• Maintain detailed records of all activities in the system to ensure accurate documentation.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and payer-specific guidelines.

• Utilize medical record systems to streamline billing processes.

Requirements

• Proven recent experience in medical billing and collections

• Familiarity with healthcare systems such as Epic

• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and claims submission processes.

• Ability to handle aged claims and resolve complex billing issues.

• Proficiency in healthcare billing concepts, including home health and hospice services.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.

• Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and payer guidelines.
