Description

We are in search of Paralegal to join a prominent firm that has a location in the Lexington area. As a Paralegal, you will be instrumental in supporting our attorneys in various aspects of case preparation and management, including legal research, document production, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake legal and factual research tasks, collating necessary data as guided by attorneys.

• Draft a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and briefs

• Investigate case facts and pertinent laws to identify causes of action and facilitate case preparation.

• Oversee litigation cases and sizable projects, which includes organizing, retrieving, and producing documents, as well as preparing exhibits for depositions and trials.

• Create exhibits for depositions, review and summarize deposition transcripts, and assist in preparing exhibits for trials.

• Ensure legal documents are indexed, filed, and organized properly, using litigation support software or other required methods.

• Carry out general administrative duties as assigned.

• Utilize your skills in E-Discovery and Relativity to enhance your performance in the role.

Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Law or a relevant field.

• Proven experience as a Paralegal is essential.

• Proficiency in Ediscovery software is a significant requirement.

• Demonstrated knowledge in using Relativity software is mandatory.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are needed.

• Must have the ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.

• A strong understanding of legal terminology and principles is required.

• Should have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary.

• Must demonstrate keen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Needs to be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
