Description We are looking for an Accounting Manager to take charge of key financial operations and lead a team in achieving organizational goals. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, leadership abilities, and analytical skills to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all corporate accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow operations and ensure timely distributions to ownership entities.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records through month-end closings, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, promoting a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Conduct general ledger audits, analyze financial variances, and interpret trends to offer actionable insights.
• Oversee compliance with sales tax regulations, job costing, commission reporting, and tracking of organizational metrics.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including the development of fiscal calendars.
• Supervise accounts payable processes, ensuring proper invoice approvals, postings, and timely check generation.
• Direct accounts receivable operations, including billing, cash application, and collections.
• Coordinate annual audit activities with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; advanced certifications are preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in private or public accounting, with managerial responsibilities.
• Proficiency in GAAP accounting principles and financial systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
• Willingness to travel for work-related purposes, up to 20% of the time.
