    Salary Grade NC11 – Salary Range 43,738 – 76,542

    The position reports to the State Contract officer and five (5) section managers along with providing day-to-day administrative support to all unit staff performing a variety of functions. The position organizes and coordinates administrative/business tasks including budget, purchasing, inventory, payroll, HR and specialized activities for the unit. Duties include, but not limited to, approving time for staff (supervisors) on a weekly basis; reviewing and approving staff travel reimbursements in SAP; entering staff request for LOA (FMLA), New Hire Actions, Separations, Promotions, Appointment Change, etc.; assisting with NCVIP evaluations; entering invoices; assisting the Prequalification Section with selected tasks.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

    Management Preferences:

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP; Docu-Sign, NEOGOV, and Service Now.

    + Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

    + Basic knowledge of HR policies and practices.

    + Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.

    + Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

    + Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials and the public.

    + Experience planning, assigning and reviewing the work of others.

     

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
