Summary This position will be assigned to JBSA Canyon Lake, TX. This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hrs., may work up to 40 hrs./wk. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to flexible positions are not eligible for benefits. Responsibilities Assists in the operation of the camping/picnic programs. Collects fees and charges. Rents and issues recreation equipment. Checks eligibility of patrons. Accepts reservations for Outdoor Recreation facilities. Assists in monitoring the upkeep of grounds, camping facilities and equipment. Makes recurring security checks on grounds, camping facilities and equipment. Makes recurring security checks on grounds, marina, facilities, boats and moorings when Ground leader is not available. Assist in daily reports. Assists in monitoring activities (e.g. volksmarch, youth camps, hiking, scout camps, and etc). Performs other related duties as assigned. Works inside and outside in all types of weather such as heat, cold, and rain. May come in contact with strong cleaning agents when working in the housekeeping department. Danger of falls from slippery surfaces or when working on ladders. May operate government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
