    Company: Leggett & Platt

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a VP of Total Rewards within our Corporate Human Resources team to help support our business. As a global-diversified manufacturing company, it’s sometimes hard to explain all the different things we do. We like to say, “we’re the biggest company no one has ever heard of.” We are confident you interact with one of our products in your daily life without knowing it. Whether it’s the mattress you sleep on, the car you drive, the plane you fly on, or the furniture you sit on, our high-quality components are there supporting you. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a VP of Total Rewards you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute our compensation and benefits programs. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by aligning our employee rewards with the organization’s priorities, commitments, and objectives. This role reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

So, what will you be doing as a VP of Total Rewards?

+ Partner with executive leadership and the Human Resources Compensation Committee (HRCC) to develop and execute a total rewards strategy that aligns employee rewards with the organization's priorities, commitments, and objectives.

+ Lead the design, implementation, communication, and administration of company rewards programs, including executive compensation, broad-based compensation, and benefits, to support the achievement of company priorities while working closely with stakeholders across the organization.

+ Lead, develop, and oversee a high-performing team responsible for various rewards functions, including compensation, health, welfare, retirement, and executive benefits.

+ Oversee the annual compensation planning cycle, including base pay/merit reviews, bonus calculations/payouts, and long-term incentive programs.

+ Serve as a trusted advisor who is responsible for developing and presenting compensation and benefit plan designs and enhancements to senior leadership and decision-making committees.

+ Ensure programs and practices are externally competitive and internally equitable across global and diverse business units, with focus on supporting business goals, recruitment, employee engagement, and talent development activities.

+ Manage the strategic and operational aspects of executive compensation, including monitoring external trends and conducting compensation benchmarking, designing STI and LTI programs, and providing governance for non-qualified plans.

+ Develop materials for the Human Resources Compensation Committee (HRCC) of the Board of Directors, which includes interaction with the Committee Chair and independent compensation consultant.

+ Lead cross-functional teams to shape and execute the incentive compensation strategy to ensure competitive and valued practices that drive business results.

+ Maintain relationships with external partners and vendors, including monitoring vendor performance and ensuring operational standards are fulfilled.

+ Ensure rewards programs remain compliant with applicable legal, tax, and regulatory requirements across different governing bodies.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field of study.

+ 12-15 years of progressive experience with increasing leadership responsibility in the total rewards field, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.

+ Experience in a publicly traded, global manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

+ Deep knowledge of compensation philosophies and structures, broad based and executive compensation, incentive and equity plan design, non-qualified plans, health, welfare, and retirement benefits, ERISA and 409(A) regulations, benefit plan design, and overall rewards plan management.

+ Strategic thinking, with ability to collaborate effectively with other senior professionals to develop and implement company-wide initiatives and lead through change.

+ Proactive/self-driven with confidence in working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

+ Hands-on, working leader who aligns with the Company culture, values, and strategic priorities

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

+ Strong knowledge of other HR disciplines.
