Material Handler Temporary (1st Shift)

Job Duties

+ Use a lift truck to move material and completed parts to their proper location.

+ Load PTH trucks into trailer.

+ Conduct daily pre-operational safety check on lift truck.

+ Comply with safety regulations _._

Minimum Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Per 8-12 hr. shift (stand up to 4 hrs., walk up to 5 hrs., sit up to 3 hr.), frequently (balance, push/pull, bend, kneel, squat) and occasionally (reach above shoulder level).

+ Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 49 lbs., occasionally from 50 to 100 lbs. with the help of another person or lifting device).

+ Frequent climbing to step into lift truck. Must be able to see, hear, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, use feet to operate foot pedals, do simple and firm grasping with both hands.

+ Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration from lift trucks, inside/outside temperature changes, occasional weld flash, dust, battery acid, paint, and oil. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Prior experience operating a lift truck desired.
