As a Data Center Tech, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing network and data center operations ensuring seamless connectivity and system performance. With a focus on network basics internet networking and Windows basics the role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and optimizing infrastructure. The position is based in the office with no travel requirements offering a dynamic work environment.

In this role, you will:

+ Oversee the daily operations of network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

+ Manage and maintain data center infrastructure focusing on efficiency and security.

+ Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and Windows-related issues.

+ Collaborate with IT teams to implement network upgrades and enhancements.

+ Monitor network performance and address any connectivity issues promptly.

+ Develop and enforce network security protocols to protect company data.

+ Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and maintenance.

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in network management.

+ Conduct regular audits of network systems to identify areas for improvement.

+ Lead initiatives to optimize data center operations and reduce downtime.

+ Document network configurations and changes for future reference and compliance.

+ Support the development of junior team members on network basics and data center management.

+ Contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

+ Possess a strong understanding of network basics and internet networking principles.

+ Demonstrate proficiency in Windows basics and related troubleshooting techniques.

+ Have experience in data center management and operations.

+ Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and a detail-oriented approach.

+ Work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

+ Display effective communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

+ Hold a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

Work model:

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $37,804 to $74,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
