Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled and motivatedMechanical Engineer to join our team!
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in thedesign, development, testing and optimization of Large Electric Generators forthe Fossil and Nuclear Power industry. In this role, you will applyexpertise in analytics, data science, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and CADsystems to support the development of innovative product designs and processimprovements. You will generate data-driven recommendations that align withevolving market dynamics and customer requirements, contributing to thecontinuous advancement of our engineering capabilities. In addition, youwill apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems, not covered by existingprocedures or practices. A Mechanical Engineer displays a highlevel of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact,complex, and/or multi-functional problems. You will guide communication ofcomplex technical and commercial issues.
Our ideal candidate will be highly organized, and possess astrong background in CAD fundamentals, GD&T methods, machine design,failure mode analysis, and product development processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ **Executeengineering R&D studies. Interface manufacturing engineering networkto assure competitive and cost-efficient designs.**
+ **Contributeto the Conceptional, Basic and Detailed design of electric generators.**
+ **Performfinite element analysis using ANSYS or similar code.**
+ **Reviewand approve manufacturing and customer transmittal drawings. Prepare andpresent Design Reviews as required by internal requirements.**
+ **Assistin the resolution of manufacturing, installation or operational issues.**
+ **Supportthe resolution/remediation of product issues and participate in root causeanalyses.**
What You Bring
+ **BSdegree in Mechanical Engineering, MSME is a plus! 3+ years’ experience indesign (experience in computational analytics, data science, FiniteElement Analysis), and/or maintenance of rotating machinery; in the powergeneration industry preferred.**
+ **Demonstratedexperience in CAD, GD&T and CAE fundamentals.**
+ **Detail-orientedwith good analytical skills. Self-motivated and able to collaborateeffectively in a team setting with excellent communication skills.**
+ **Willingto travel (10%).**
