**VCA Beech Grove Animal Hospital** is seeking a **Veterinary Assistant** to join our exceptional team!

Compensation:

Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

**Schedule:** Full-time opportunities, 5 x 8's with rotating Saturdays.

What You'll Do:

As a member of **VCA Beech Grove Animal Hospital,** you will support the team by fostering a positive and low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to:

+ Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures

+ Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration)

+ Restrain animals safely and compassionately

+ Prepare and clean exam rooms

+ Assist with radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics

+ Maintain accurate medical records and support charting

+ Provide client education and ensure excellent service during visits

+ Support surgery prep and recovery as needed

+ Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment

Qualifications:

+ 2+ years experience in a veterinary setting as a Veterinary Assistant

+ Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments

+ High school diploma or equivalent required
