• Credentialed Veterinary Technician

    **VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists** is an **oncology-only practice** looking for an **ICU patient care technician** . This role oversees and provides treatments and patient care for our post-op patients and medical oncology patients needing supportive care.

     

    Monday-Wednesday 7:00 am-6:00 pm. NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS!

    You’ve worked hard for your credentialing, and we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Venipuncture

    • catheter placement

    • radiology

    • anesthesia monitoring

    • physical examinations and patient assessment

    • surgical preparation and assisting

    • laboratory work

    • pharmacy

    • patient recovery

    • compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

     

    VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays, and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay for this position starts at $25 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
