At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. The KinderSprouts program is designed to assist qualifying four-year (4) olds in developing early literacy skills through instruction and play. Current opening is at Kessler Elementary. Some of what you will do:

+ Cultivate cognitive growth, social skills and curiosity through play, meaningful work and caring relationships.

+ Develop lesson plans and instructional material based on district approved curriculum.

+ Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.

+ Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

+ Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.

+ Identify pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals and develops strategies for individual education plans.

+ Establish effective rapport with students.

+ Communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.

+ May conduct home visits.

Who we are looking for: To become part of this dedicated team, you have a Montana teaching certificate with elementary or early childhood endorsement area. The ideal candidate will possess at least a year of successful teaching experience in an elementary classroom and have multiple areas of endorsement.
