    Candidates will be responsible for all daily packaging maintenance functions in support of the plant, including coordination and activities of the Packaging Mechanics.

     

    From your EXPERTISE to ours

    Key responsibilities for this position include:

    1. Planning and evaluation of all packaging maintenance activities.

    2. Technical ability to assess systems for re-engineering or troubleshooting at both hands-on levels and engineering levels; ability to do technical training throughout department.

    3. Familiar with the manufacturing operation, equipment and support systems of the company and will set up systems to respond to maintenance concerns regarding them.

    4. Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.

    5. Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.

    6. Responsible for setting-up and managing systems for preventative maintenance.

    7. Develops staff to provide the necessary skills to support the maintenance responsibilities for the plant.

    8. Continues to access skill levels and recommends developmental activities as appropriate.

    9. Provides necessary support for the other plant functions/activities as determined by the Assistant and/or Maintenance Manager.

    10. Continually evaluates the capabilities of the packaging Maintenance department relating to equipment, tools and other items necessary to provide a satisfactory level of service to the plant.

    Requirements

    Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

    Qualifications:

    • Prior high speed packaging experience preferred.

    • Prior dairy experience preferred.

    • Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.

    • Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and servo/robotics experience.

    • Ability to administrate over Departmental projects and run projects effectively with attention to budget and scope.

    • Ability to assist Maintenance Manager in administration over department budgets

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High School Diploma/GED required.

    • Technical degree in Technical/Engineering discipline preferred.

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in packaging field required
