Job Title: R&D Associate Chemist

Job Description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in activities related to troubleshooting, stabilizing, and resolving external customer complaints, manufacturing batch issues, and quality-related endeavors. You will work closely with a team to investigate and resolve customer and manufacturing complaints for General Industrial Liquid products through the prioritization, execution, and analysis of experiments and tests to achieve clear and accurate results.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with the team to prioritize, execute, and analyze experiments and tests to resolve customer and manufacturing complaints for General Industrial Liquid products.

+ Provide timely and accurate data to address field complaints, raw material issues, manufacturing problems, and support both existing and new product development.

+ Display a basic working knowledge of chemicals, raw materials, substrate preparation, and instruments commonly found in a lab environment.

+ Input data, perform data analysis, and maintain technical documentation daily in lab books or a database.

+ Function with minimal supervision from management and other group employees while ensuring product development and enhancement with consistent performance and quality.

+ Utilize advanced technologies to innovatively troubleshoot issues that consumers perceive and desire.

+ Perform basic paint-making processes for the production of Liquid finished goods that meet manufacturers' specifications.

+ Conduct basic coating reformulations, applications, and physical/performance testing methods specifically related to Liquid products.

+ Apply experience with Liquid development and manufacturing processes.

+ Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field.

+ Math knowledge.

+ Chemistry knowledge.

+ Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
