Job Description: Mechanical Designer - SolidWorks

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer specializing in SolidWorks to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing filtration systems that vary in scale, utilizing SolidWorks software extensively. This role involves producing an average of 3 to 10 drawings per week, including floor plans, structural tank drawings, platforms, mezzanines, and plumbing routing drawings. The majority of tasks will involve updating standard drawings, with 20% of the work starting from scratch. Adherence to departmental programming, drawing standards, and conventions is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Design filtration systems using SolidWorks, ranging from small systems to those valued at $3 million.

+ Produce an average of 3 to 10 drawings per week, including floor plans, structural tank drawings, platforms, mezzanines, and plumbing routing drawings.

+ Adhere to departmental programming, drawing standards, and conventions.

+ Focus on updating standard drawings, with 20% of tasks requiring creation from scratch.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient in SolidWorks with a minimum of 5 years of design experience.

+ Experience in mechanical design, specifically in sheet metal and water pumps.

+ 5 years of experience with SolidWorks weldments and routing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2-year degree or Associate's in a 3D design-related field or equivalent experience.

+ Significant experience in SolidWorks manufacturing design.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Profit Sharing for every employee-minimum has been $800 over the past 20+ years

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Waukesha,WI.
