    Employee may be requested to work overtime during busy times of the year for gift processing. The employee may also be asked to work evenings or weekends to assist with fundraising events.

     

    Position Summary Information

    Position Summary

    Process and acknowledge all electronic gifts, crowdfunding, event registrations and SRUAA memberships. This also includes online demographic updates and email preference changes.

     

    Receipt all on-campus gift & non-gift deposits that come into Advancement Services.

     

    Process, prepare gift receipts and letter acknowledgments for all gifts that come into the University.

     

    Process gifts, sponsorships and registrations for fundraising events, also prepare appropriate letter acknowledgement.

     

    Prepare President’s acknowledgement letters for gifts over $1,000.

     

    Confirm gift receipt for matching gift information, and process all matching gift checks from the business’s foundation.

     

    Update contact information as needed on matching gift websites.

     

    Daily up-keep of data integrity by performing demographic updates within the Advancement database (Using Alumni Finder, LinkedIn, Facebook and Google).

     

    Assist Director of Advancement Services in meeting preparation and execution – printing, copying, collation, preparation of packets & agendas, preparation of & distribution of minutes, confirming attendee availability and meeting arrangements.

     

    Greet students, staff, faculty, administrators and guests.

     

    Answer multiple phone lines, including forwarding to voicemail and/or taking messages.

     

    Prepare a variety of documents to generate correspondence, memos, reports, charts, tables, invoices, spreadsheets, agendas and other materials using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proofread for grammatical accuracy.

     

    Order office supplies and printer toner for Advancement Services and SRU Foundation, Inc.

     

    Process various office forms (purchase requisitions, travel reimbursements, SRU Foundation check requests).

     

    Copy and distribute letters, reports, memos, forms, agendas and minutes.

     

    Sort, classify, file and retrieve material electronically and/or manually.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or an associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits in accounting; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. A successful campus interview and passing a criminal background check required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with grants; knowledge of the SAP financial program; and experience with database management. Experience working in a human services or educational environment and with diverse populations is also preferred.
