Senior Analytics Developer – MyCity Careers Project

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Analytics Developer with at least 12-years of Data Engineering experience to Develop highly interactive reports, dashboards, and data models in support of a government application modernization project.

This is a remote position, and the candidate must reside in EST zone. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing reports, dashboards, and scalable data models using Snowflake and modern visualization tools. Must have a valid linkedin profile to be considered.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Candidates who do not have the following mandatory skills will not be considered:

+ 12+ years of experience as an Analytics Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on developing reports, dashboards, and data models

+ Strong experience designing and implementing data models and schemas in Snowflake

+ Ability to define Snowflake database objects to support efficient data storage and retrieval

+ Expertise with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar

+ Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

+ Deep understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, star schema)

+ Solid background in data engineering and ETL processes

+ Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and experience with IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services)

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams

+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java

+ Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

+ Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica IICS and Mulesoft

+ Experience using Azure services, including Security, Blob Storage, Data Lake, Databricks, and Data Factory

+ Experience with Azure Monitoring services

+ Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or SnowPro Certification

SCOPE OF SERVICES

As a Senior Analytics Developer, you will:

+ Develop and maintain highly efficient and interactive reports, dashboards, and data models

+ Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to gather and translate data analysis needs into technical requirements

+ Design and implement data engineering pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources

+ Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure consistency and accuracy

+ Optimize database queries and data retrieval processes for performance and scalability

+ Conduct data profiling and quality analysis, providing recommendations for improvements

+ Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in analytics, data engineering, and visualization
