Job Title: Electronic Controls Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Controls Technician with a minimum of five years of experience as an industrial electrician. The role involves performing planned maintenance on computers, microprocessors, and PLC-based equipment, along with responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting various systems. You will work closely with crews to solve problems and maintain records, while also assisting in the training of electricians.
Must Haves
+ 5+ years industrial maintenance electrician experience.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
+ Ability to perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
+ Experience with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.
Responsibilities
+ Perform planned maintenance on assigned computers, microprocessors, and PLC-based equipment.
+ Respond to breakdowns and trouble calls, coordinating with supervision for scheduling downtime.
+ Collaborate with crews to solve problems and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.
+ Maintain records, update prints, manuals, diagrams, and make recommendations to prevent recurring issues.
+ Assist in training electricians as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Heavy PLC experience.
+ Experience with troubleshooting VFDs and PLCs.
+ Diagnose and repair PLCs.
+ Preferred to have own tools, though not required.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate-controlled plant that can get very hot in the summer. The facility is high-speed, and the maintenance team consists of 10 people, working closely with a larger team of 50 onsite. The night shift runs from 5 pm to 5 am, and flexibility is required as hours may increase. Steel-toed boots are mandatory, and all other PPE is provided. The dress code includes jeans, a work shirt, and eventually a company uniform.

This is a Contract position based out of Deer Park, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
