    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled multicraft maintenance technician who specializes in making both electrical and mechanical repairs on composite pipe manufacturing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing drives, limit switches, 3-phase electrical motors, emergency stop switches, motor starter circuits up to 480V, and 24V DC circuits. Additionally, you will build control panel boxes and pull wires to equipment. Mechanical duties include repairing hydraulics on equipment, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and bearings. Light welding and fabrication may be required to ensure proper maintenance of the facility and equipment. The position involves working with helical winder machines, conveyors, material handling equipment, and saws, and assisting in new equipment installation as the facility expands.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and repair drives, limit switches, 3-phase motors, emergency stop switches, and motor starter circuits up to 480V.

    + Build control panel boxes and pull wire to equipment.

    + Repair hydraulics on equipment, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and bearings.

    + Perform light welding and fabrication to maintain facility and equipment.

    + Operate helical winder machines, conveyors, material handling equipment, and saws.

    + Assist in the installation of new equipment during the facility move.

    Essential Skills

    + 4+ years of maintenance experience.

    + Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing drives and electrical motors.

    + Proficiency in mechanical repairs involving hydraulics and pneumatics.

    + Knowledge of 480V electrical systems.

    + Ability to read electrical meters and electrical prints.

    + Experience in welding and fabrication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and control panel schematic reading.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-air-conditioned, open-aired shop. The position is on the first shift from 6:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
