Job Description
The Materials Associate is tasked with the receipt, warehousing, and issuance of materials and components to support the production of small drones. This role includes processing shipping and receiving, preparing products for freight shipments, and assisting the Shipping & Receiving Manager with accurate shipment processing. Collaboration with inventory and purchasing groups is essential to manage material consumption, replenishment, and storage, with a focus on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, part quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Process shipping and receiving tasks efficiently.
+ Prepare products for freight shipments with precision.
+ Assist the Shipping & Receiving Manager in accurate shipment processing.
+ Collaborate with inventory and purchasing groups to manage material consumption, replenishment, and storage.
+ Focus on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, part quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in medical assembly and medical device handling.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and quality control processes.
+ Knowledge of UAV, UAS, drones, box builds, and RC components.
+ Understanding of MOS codes, ISO9001, AS9100 standards.
+ Experience with avionics, optical payloads, weapons systems, and electrical systems.
+ Ability to use calipers and micrometers effectively.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office and FAA RS.
+ Experience in APU maintenance and electrical systems.
+ Skill in proper packaging, labeling, and storage per material requirements.
+ Experience in maintaining material traceability, inventory locations, and accuracy.
+ Ability to multitask with little supervision and urgency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years of fast-paced warehouse experience.
+ Familiarity with ERP and WMS systems.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Strong organization and communication skills.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to handle physical demands.
+ U.S. Person status is required for access to export-controlled data.

Work Environment
Work in a relaxed and clean warehouse environment that is climate-controlled. The shift hours are 6 AM to 2 PM, Monday to Friday, and 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Overtime is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
