Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing packaging equipment across the United States. Your role will involve traveling 50% to 75% of the time, which will be a mix of driving and flying. When you are not traveling, you will provide remote support to customers, helping them fix equipment issues themselves.
Responsibilities
+ Install, service, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites, resolving mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
+ Provide hands-on training for customer employees.
+ Document technical and customer information to maintain effective business relationships.
+ Travel 50-75% of the time, including occasional weekend travel.
+ Provide in-house customer technical support via phone or e-mail when not traveling.
+ Assist the controls engineering group with changing or creating electrical/pneumatic schematics and PLC and PanelView programs.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
+ Knowledge in maintenance techniques, pneumatics, wiring, preventive maintenance, hydraulics, and field service.
+ Experience in installation and servicing of equipment.
+ Strong understanding of pneumatic, vacuum, and lubrication systems.
+ General understanding of electrical control devices like sensors, solenoid valves, VFDs, LPC, and PLSs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the packaging industry is preferred.
+ AutoCAD experience is desired but not required.

Work Environment
This role requires a significant amount of travel, both by driving and flying, throughout the United States. When not on the road, you will work from home providing remote technical support. The position involves working with advanced packaging equipment, and you will be required to follow a business casual dress code.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Villard, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
