    Job Title: Inventory Specialist

    Job Description

    The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing procurement and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. You will work closely with engineering, finance, and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient project execution. Your role involves issuing purchase orders, sourcing parts and equipment, managing supply risks, and documenting supplier performance. Collaboration with stakeholders and support for continuous improvement efforts are key aspects of this role. Ideal candidates possess strong procure-to-pay experience in manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage procurement and support strategic sourcing initiatives.

    + Issue purchase orders for production and R&D parts.

    + Source and procure parts and equipment efficiently.

    + Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct commodities and categories.

    + Provide input on supply risk management and mitigation.

    + Maintain regular communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

    + Collaborate with engineering, finance, and manufacturing teams.

    + Support continuous improvement efforts.

    + Document and report supplier performance accurately.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in procurement management and issuing purchase orders.

    + Ability to source and procure parts and equipment efficiently.

    + Excellent documentation and communication skills.

    + Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

    + Attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with medical assembly, hand tools, quality control, UAV/UAS/Drone technologies.

    + Knowledge of box builds, RC, MOS codes, TS161949, ISO9001, AS9100 standards.

    + Familiarity with avionics, optical payloads, weapons systems, electrical systems.

    + Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, FOD, Microsoft Office, ERP systems.

    + Experience with FAA RS, APU maintenance, electrical harnesses.

    + Quality certifications and experience with compliance in international trade regulations.

    + Experience with ADP systems in procurement and logistics.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a climate-controlled warehouse that is relaxed and clean. The shift is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Overtime is expected.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
