We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
The Associate Director for Capital Project Planning and Execution is responsible for successful execution of capital projects at the West Point site as the project manager on small capital (<$1MM) and large capital projects (>$1MM) as well as filling the capital project team leader (CPTL) role on large capital projects. They will have responsibility for the overall management of a portfolio of capital projects to ensure effective project delivery (scope, cost and schedule) that is aligned with the annual and long-range capital plan. They oversee all project review processes & requirements, work within a direct & indirect network of project leaders and ensure compliance with all capital spending expectations of the organization.
Responsibilities Include:
+ Managing a portfolio of capital projects to ensure effective project (cost and schedule) delivery that is aligned with the annual and long range capital plan.
+ Manage process, equipment, and facility projects for the vaccine manufacturing organization.
+ Serving as the Capital Project Team Leader.
+ Representing the business on large capital project teams.
+ Collaborate closely with the E2E and IPT leaders to implement the organization's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives and the overall our Manufacturing Division strategy.
+ Leading project team formation and is responsible for project team health.
+ Challenging stakeholder input to ensure fit for purpose solution is developed.
+ Ensuring that projects have a clearly articulated business need and a solution that meets the business need.
+ Serving as the point of contact for one or more end-to-end business units.
+ Ensures projects follow applicable Safety, Environmental, Quality and Financial policies and procedures.
+ Provides project status updates and requests to site leadership, global vaccines operations leadership and capital governance committees.
Minimum Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Required Experience and Skills:
+ Minimum of eight (8) years post-bachelor’s degree experience in Operations, Technical Operations, Technology, Engineering, and/or Maintenance.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management.
+ Highly developed communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
+ Ability to manage projects within defined budget, schedule and deadlines.
+ Understanding of vaccine products and vaccines business.
Education Requirement:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred), life science or another technical field.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
+ Demonstrated competency in people management including talent and career development
+ Knowledge of our engineering standards and guides.
+ 2+ years of experience in capital project management or support
+ Experience in biologics, vaccine, or bulk sterile manufacturing facilities
+ Experience utilizing various procurement and capital planning tools such as SAP, Ariba, and CapApp.

The salary range for this role is
$139,600.00 - $219,700.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
