Job Description
The Associate Specialist, is a member of the Site Automation team responsible for the assigned process control systems in support of manufacturing operations located in Durham, NC.
This Individual will be responsible for problem resolution, implementation of process control, data collection techniques, and troubleshooting in compliance with SDLC, GMP, safety, and environmental regulations. Actively support, participate and embrace an empowered team culture including significant interaction with manufacturing, quality and engineering groups. Supports a spectrum of sophisticated automated systems within Manufacturing Operations; providing multiple opportunities to learn new automation technologies and make a positive impact.
The well-qualified candidate must have analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment. Some cases may require temporary shift assignments to support critical projects or manufacturing steps. On-call support will be required and will rotate weekly between all Site Automation team members. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and weekends when on call.
Primary Activities include, but are not limited to:
+ Performs routine assignments including support user access, providing on demand support to other functional groups, completing basic automation system changes, and assisting with documentation updates.
+ Learns and supports all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety, and environmental regulations. Review and approve automation documents, preventive maintenance, and SOPs to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and safety.
+ Participates in investigations of automation incidents and problems to prevent recurrence including the development and implementation of corrective actions.
+ Uses technical knowledge to assure the efficient operation of variety of automated processing and information technology systems. Leads in installing and placing new equipment into operations. Develops solutions for automation problems.
+ Project coordination leadership and implementation of troubleshooting activities and change control.
+ On-floor support of manufacturing activities.
+ Identify and implement process/equipment improvements and manufacturing efficiencies.
**Position Qualifications** :
Education Minimum Requirement:
+ B.S., B.A., or greater preferably in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology
Preferred Experience and Skills:
+ Experience in PLCs, SCADA, DCSs, MES, Batch Operations (S88/S95), IT, and OEM.
+ Ability to perform aseptic gowning during the execution of job duties
+ Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) are required

The salary range for this role is
$70,500.00 - $110,900.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
