The PostgreSQL Architect/Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining PostgreSQL database systems within a large enterprise environment. This senior-level position requires a highly experienced professional with over 10 years of experience in RDBMS platforms, particularly focusing on PostgreSQL. The successful candidate will work providing expert guidance and support in database management, scripting, and migration projects. Strong PostgreSQL DBA skills and experience in large enterprise management are essential.

This position is onsite in Omaha, NE. If relocating, needs to be onsite since day 1.

Responsibilities

+ Architect, implement, and manage PostgreSQL database systems in an enterprise setting.

+ Develop and maintain PostgreSQL management platforms, ensuring robust monitoring and backup/recovery solutions.

+ Automate database processes through advanced scripting using Linux Bash and Shell.

+ Lead migration projects from Oracle to PostgreSQL, including PL/SQL to PL/pgSQL conversion.

+ Utilize PostgreSQL monitoring tools to ensure system performance and availability.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and establish efficient PostgreSQL architectures.

+ Maintain a zero-defects production environment by adhering to first-time-right principles.

Qualifications

+ Must Have:

+ Extensive experience as a PostgreSQL DBA, with strong skills in database management and scripting.

+ Proficiency in Linux Bash and Shell scripting.

+ Expertise in PostgreSQL management platforms, monitoring, and backup/recovery processes.

+ Good to Have:

+ Experience as an Oracle DBA, with skills in migrating from Oracle to PostgreSQL.

+ Knowledge of Java Full Stack Development.

+ Experience Level:

+ Senior Level, with 10+ years of experience in RDBMS platforms.

+ Desired Profile:

+ Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Proven track record of delivering projects with zero defects in production.

The base salary range for this position is $ 92,250 - $ 144,964, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
