    SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Customer Services and Delivery with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

    YOUR FUTURE ROLE

    We are seeking an experienced **Platform (Cloud) Architect** to design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud solutions. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for developing cloud strategies, ensuring best practices in architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive cloud adoption. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing principles, architecture frameworks, and experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field

    + At least 5 years of experience in software architecture and engineering

    + Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies and architecture patterns

    + Ability to balance technical and strategic requirements and take a technical approach to design specifications of our large-scale network

    + Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

    + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

    + Excellent communication and leadership skills

    + Experience in large-scale software development and deployment

    + Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks

    CORE TASKS MAY INCLUDE

    + Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and other architects

    + Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures.

    + Develop and maintain cloud strategy, governance, and best practices.

    + Engage with stakeholders to assess business requirements and define cloud solutions.

    + Ensure cloud environments comply with security, regulatory, and operational standards.

    + Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.

    + Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support and define requirements.

    + Establish monitoring, logging, and incident response strategies for cloud services.

    + Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.

    + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams on cloud architecture principles.

    + Document architecture and engineering designs, standards, and procedures.

    **Compensation Range Transparency** : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 149400 - 253800(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
