Position Overview:
Works autonomously within diverse settings and situations to manage and support the implementation of various complex projects related to energy sourcing, pay load optimization, lighting modifications, analytics-based smart building solutions, and mechanical systems modifications to improve energy performance and reduce costs. Develops and manages energy reduction and utility cost savings initiatives, project management of mechanical, electrical facility system, and energy procurement initiatives already planned to include scheduling, budgeting, vendor selection, contract management, and technical support of the program implementation. Develops and implements energy procurement strategies. With the facility management teams, implements low-cost projects designed to reduce energy consumption.

+ Master's: Engineering or related field
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
+ PEL-Professional Engineer License
+ DL-California Drivers Class C
+ AUTO-Automobile Insurance
+ CEM-Certified Energy Manager
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ 5 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
+ In-depth knowledge of energy markets and procurement principles.
+ n-depth familiarity with the energy management field's principles, theories, concepts, practices, processes and procedures, including plug load optimization, heat recovery, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) replacements and sources of renewable energy.
+ General knowledge of licensing requirements and Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) permitting requirements.
+ General knowledge of real estate energy accounting practices.
+ Verbal and written communication skills, solid interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities and work group facilitation skills.
+ Demonstrated human resource management skills including the ability to attract, retain, motivate, develop and manage performance of staff.
+ Demonstrated negotiation skills balancing attention to details with an ability to operate strategically.
+ Leadership skills and the ability to initiate and maintain clear communications.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, manage and balance multiple interests, and resolve conflicts.
+ Consultative skills to gather needs and translate requests into potential solutions.
+ Client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between facility planning and affiliate leadership.
+ Skills in identifying, researching/ analyzing and creatively resolving problems.

Pay Range is $73.45 to $110.18 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
