Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.
Responsibilities:
+ Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
+ Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
+ Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
+ Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
+ Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
+ Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
+ Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
+ Familiar with development and testing practices of the bank
+ Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
+ Identifies any test issues/errors, and triages the underlying cause.
+ Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Participates, contributes and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes.
+ Metadata management and data integrity skills.
+ Perform system and data analysis based on business need including integration testing and data quality validation.
+ Create test plans, scripts and artifacts for all phases of testing. Identify, document and resolve data quality/data integrity issues.
+ Analyze and test mappings, workflows/sessions and other MW jobs/processes.
+ Ensures adherence to locally defined standards.
Required Qualifications:
+ QA Professional with at least 8 years of experience in treasury/payment/transactions services.
+ Ability to support parallel projects, in agile development methodology in fast-paced environment.
+ Proficient with mapping and requirements analysis.
+ Experience with testing data to support the business requirements.
+ Strong leadership skills with prior experience in creating testing strategies for both data and software
+ Has advanced experience with data technologies and led the development of data system.
+ 6+ years of experience in Functional software testing
+ 2+ years of experience in any of Test Automation tools
+ Understanding and experience in data testing/validation. Advanced skills in SQL, data extraction, manipulation using excel functions
+ Collaborate with Product owner, scrum master, development, system and release management teams to certify and promote code to higher level environments
+ Experience in test execution, Defect management, Test progress reporting and escalation of issues and risks
+ Experience in test planning one or more applications that span across multiple stakeholders
+ Excellent written & verbal communication, ability to multitask, work well under demanding situations, prioritize and meet deadline
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
+ Coordination skills and experience collaborating with offshore teams
+ 8+ years of hands-on experience in Automation Projects in a Developer/Lead capacity.
+ 8+ years of hands-on experience in reviewing requirements and project documentation to understand the application and perform automation feasibility analysis.
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, maintaining, and analyzing automated test scripts.
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience executing automation scripts, preparing executions reports and defect logs.
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience creating project deliverables including automation test plans, automation estimation, test reports and automation dashboards
+ Solid computer programming experience (Java, SQL, Gherkin an asset).
+ Strong experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
+ Experience (3+ years) using Quality Center/Octane/qtest experience.
+ Independent worker with strong troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills (oral and written) to document/communicate issues affecting test results. Ability to assist with offshore / onshore task co-ordination.
+ Experience in version control using bitbucket, SVN, perforce etc
+ 2+ experience in banking domain. Exposure to treasury/payment systems.
+ Familiarity with testing different file and message formats – SWIFT, CAMT, XML, BAI2, CSV , MTXXX a definite plus.
+ Knowledge of API(microservice) cucumber script test creation
+ Support Integration testing for point to point testing prior to E2E testing
+ Identify functional test scenarios, create application test suite for testing payment flows with mocks/simulators. Execute functional tests prior to End to End testing
+ Support daily/weekly regression runs and regression script maintenance
+ Participate in sprint planning, in-sprint test creation and execution, test strategy and test plan creation. (participation in SQA Sync as well)
+ Communicate identified testing discrepancies, create defects in JIRA/tracker , triage with appropriate teams until resolution. Escalate issues as required.
+ Document access requests, usage of supporting tools, relevant artifacts documentation
+ Understand: Project and product road map, Requirements and Test scope for upcoming Releases, E2E payment flows and downstream connectivity and dependencies, EBV cycle schedule, Release activities.
+ Work in collaboration with product team to define requirements, acceptance criteria and scope
+ Act as primary contact between QA team/PO/Dev and project team for testing.
+ Demonstrate deep understanding of product functionality and accountable for quality deliverable of product
+ Ownership of creating Test Plan and review with all the Business stakeholders like Product/Business/Ops/Dev
+ Lead overall testing efforts to identify testcases, execute tests, create defects, report status.
+ Facilitate and manage testing schedule, defect triages, status calls, status reporting, escalation.
+ Responsible for automation test coverage in API , application test and regression tests
+ Ensure adherence to MRA2 process and timely completion of relevant documentation
+ Perform root cause analysis of escaped defects
+ Organize testing with clearing house /partner banks for certification
+ Responsible for reviewing testing scenarios with systems participating in E2E testing
+ Collaborate with E2E applications for test data setup, validation support, sign off
+ Strong knowledge (3+ years) in Technologies/Programming such as Core Java, VB Scripting, SQL, Basic Unix, Cucumber
+ 4+ years of Data/File/Database and ETL/Data warehouse testing and proficient in testing all conversions – File to file, file to Database, database to file etc.
+ Strong command over SQL. Ability to write complex queries across different systems – preferred Oracle
+ Shell Scripts/Regular Expressions(RegExps)/UNIX experience is a huge asset
+ Strong experience (3+ years) in parsing & generating data/files, bank standards, XML and XPath
+ Hands on with Eclipse or NetBeans Project Management; Test NG; Version Management, Web Services Testing, Litmus, Version control like bitbucket, Selenium, Cucumber
+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting, debugging/triaging skills
+ Ability to work independently, with team and with partners/executives at Enterprise level for facilitation of cross-functional practitioner/executive engagement, routines and activities
+ Technical aptitude with understanding of non-technology change as well
