Clearance:Active DoD Secret Clearance

Work Schedule:Onsite Monday-Friday.

Role Overview:

This job involves daily tasks such as installing, configuring, and maintaining IT systems in both standalone and client-server environments. Responsibilities include working with Microsoft servers, Defense Message Systems (DMS), and other authorized IT systems, as well as troubleshooting customer issues and performing hardware upgrades and repairs. Additionally, you will optimize and troubleshoot LAN and BAN networks, utilizing protocols such as IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT. Relevant certifications like CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MTA, or MCSA are important and prioritized for this role.

Specific Skillset

+ Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain Information Technology (IT) systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment, including Microsoft (MS) server, Defense Message Systems (DMS), and other authorized IT systems as well as hardware and software for network services, storage networking devices, and servers.

+ Integrate multiple Information Systems (IS) in a networked environment. Evaluate and resolve customer IS problems.

+ Effect required hardware upgrades and repair to maintain mission capability.

+ Install and configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media, server hardware and software, and ensure the proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software for efficient operation on the network.

+ Install, optimize, and troubleshoot Local Area Network (LAN) and Base Area Networks (BAN). Experience with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT).

Requirements

Education & Certifications

+ Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent

+ CompTIA Security +

+ CompTIA A+

+ CompTIA Network+ OR Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

+ Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), or a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification.

Experience Requirements

+ 2+ years of experience related to Information Technology (IT)

+ Demonstrated experience applying creative solutions to IT-related problems

+ Demonstrated experience having initiative in the workplace

+ Experience in Information Systems (IS)

+ Specialized experience in a single discipline such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering or legacy evolution

+ Background in Cybersecurity is highly preferred

Salary Description

$58,000-$80,000
