Position Overview:
Provides compassionate care, administrative oversight, and clinical supervision in various service lines. Delivers high-quality, patient-centered health care to adults and/or children within scope of California licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Is responsible for ensuring consistent compliance with policies and procedures. Collaborates with service line leadership to develop vision and strategic plans for integration and practice. Utilizes strong leadership skills, clinical proficiency, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for patients and their families.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Daily Operations
• Coach, mentor and motivate. Includes 1:1 observation.
• Ensure compliance with established standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Promote a culture of group practice that promotes collaboration, communication, and professional growth while maintaining high level of morale.
• Monitor productivity and patient satisfaction and problem solve around issues that arise.
• Complete performance evaluations in collaboration with practice managers.
• May conduct meetings.
• Address performance issues promptly and constructively.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
• Support physician leaders as liaison and resource.
• Collaborate with senior leadership in managing Advanced Practice Clinician - Medical Doctor (APC-MD) teams for primary care.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among interdisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless care delivery.
• Represent APC team in organizational meetings and advocate for their role.
Strategy and Planning
• Develop a plan for APC integration in clinical teams.
• Coordinate APC integration with service lines.
• Develop standard APC work for primary care, in collaboration with medical leadership.
• Support the establishment of performance benchmarks, clinical goals, and operational strategies.
• Develop APC budget targets.
• Provide support to senior leadership for integration and implementation of new programs and expansion of existing programs for the APC division.
Education, Training, and Team Development
• Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for APCs.
• Lead the recruitment and onboarding processes for APCs.
• Monitor adherence to standard work by APCs.
• Promote development opportunities and continuing education for APCs to enhance care expertise and communication skills.
• Stay updated on advancements in care practices, research findings, and regulatory changes.
Patient Care and Advocacy
• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and families, providing support, education, and guidance throughout the care journey.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and coordinate appropriate interventions to optimize symptom management and comfort.
• Advocate for patients' preferences, autonomy, and dignity, ensuring that their wishes are respected and honored.
EDUCATION:
Other: Graduate of an accredited school for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
NP-Nurse Practitioner
or PA-Physician Assistant
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Certification required based on the department requirements.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years of recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
In depth understanding of clinical standards of primary care practice including inbox management.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
Advanced knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook), Electronic Health Record.
Prioritize and delegate assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Pay Range is $117.52 to $188.03 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package._ __
