We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Patient Access Coordinator to join our administrative team. This role is essential in supporting clinical operations by ensuring a smooth and patient-friendly experience through accurate insurance verification, surgical deposit collection, and appointment scheduling—all conducted via phone and computer.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to scheduled appointments

+ Collect pre-surgical deposits and clearly explain financial responsibilities to patients

+ Schedule appointments accurately, aligning patients with the appropriate provider and procedure

+ Communicate with patients via phone to complete pre-appointment requirements

+ Navigate ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) and other scheduling/billing platforms simultaneously

+ Maintain organized records of insurance verification, deposits, and scheduling changes

+ Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve discrepancies or escalate patient issues

+ Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal financial policies

Qualifications:

+ 1+ years of healthcare administrative experience, including scheduling and insurance verification

+ Proficiency with ModMed and ability to multitask across multiple systems

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Professional phone etiquette and clear written communication

+ Ability to handle sensitive financial and medical information with discretion

+ Comfortable working independently in a cubicle-style office environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
