Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable eCommerce Personalization & Merchandising Contractor to support our growing personalization and co-branded marketing efforts on their online commerce platform. This temporary role will play a key part in manually setting up personalized offers and customer segments using backend tools, creating product collections and brand-centric landing pages, and ensuring a seamless and targeted customer experience while they work toward automation.
This role will work closely with our Shopper Marketing team, Online Merchandising team, Customer Care team and serve as an operational bridge between offer strategy and execution.
The role will be split between 2 focus areas.
Personalization & Offer Execution (Approx. 60–70%)
--> This is a large part of the role, but it is very structured, will just need to learn the process.
Upload customer segments and build digital offers using Instacart Partner Platform (IPP)
Coordinate with the personalization and CRM teams to ensure accurate targeting
QA offers and troubleshoot issues related to offer redemption
Respond to customer care escalations related to digital offers
Maintain templates and documentation for recurring offer types
Site Merchandising & Page Building (Approx. 30–40%)
This part of the job will have a little bit more flexibility/creativity and require more collaboration.
Build and manage product collection pages and branded landing pages
Collaborate with the shopper marketing team to receive assets and SKU lists
Validate product data using internal tools (e.g., WebFresh)
Upload creative assets and configure page layouts using IPP
Follow brand guidelines and wireframes for page design

Asana (workflow management)
SFTP Drive (file transfer)
WebFresh (internal SKU validation tool)
Excel (for wireframing and data handling)

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute personalized customer offers on a weekly basis using internal backend tools based on provided customer lists.
• Partner with Shopper Marketing team to identify required assets and product lists based on pre-established marketing plans and templates
• Create product collections landing pages that include creative elements as well as product features in partnership with the eCommerce Merchandising Specialist
• Ensure accuracy and completeness by matching each offer to the appropriate customer segment.
• Investigate and resolve personalization-related customer service tickets, including issues with segmentation inclusion and offer triggering.
• Partner with the eCommerce Merchandising Specialist to follow established processes for both Merchandising and Offer execution best practices.
• Conduct QA checks to verify proper offer deployment and troubleshoot any setup issues.
• Track and document issues or inefficiencies to inform future automation and process improvements.
• Communicate cross-functionally with teams including personalization, online merchandising, customer service, brand & creative teams and technical support.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the personalization and eCommerce/Web team
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical & Operational Skills
• Experience with eCommerce platforms and backend content or promotion management tools (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Magento, Storefront Pro, or custom CMS).
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for customer segmentation and data validation.
• Basic understanding of personalization or segmentation strategies, such as dynamic offers or audience targeting.
• Strong QA skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and testing.
Process & Execution
• Experience executing digital marketing or merchandising campaigns, especially involving promotions, offers, or customer lists.
• Ability to follow and document detailed operational processes with consistency and accuracy.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, Service Now) to track and resolve support issues.
Cross-Functional Effectiveness
• Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with merchandising, customer service, and technical teams.
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, detail-sensitive environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
