The Gaming Content & Studios Operations team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will develop AI applications which will increase our operational efficiency in ways that directly impact game development. Working closely with stakeholders in legal, finance and product teams across the company, you will help define business processes, leverage critical business data and work with Microsoft’s suite of cutting-edge AI tools. The applications we build will provide deeper insights necessary to help Gaming leaders operate more efficiently and make timely strategic decisions.
You will be accountable for goals, deliverables, and timelines for this program while developing a detailed understanding of our people, processes and systems of record.
The Senior Software Engineer will have hands-on experience with modern workflow automation, analytics and AI tools. We are looking for a builder with a track record of finding creative solutions for real business challenges. We are also looking for demonstrated experience communicating insights to senior business leaders, advocating for decisions, and influencing colleagues both directly and indirectly.

Responsibilities
+ Develop AI applications which will increase operational efficiency within our Gaming business.
+ Provide actionable advice on matters grounded in in-depth data analysis.
+ Leverage product knowledge, organizational context, financial analysis and market awareness to guide and inform strategic business decisions.
+ Develop an understanding of Microsoft Game Content & Studios product portfolio, strategic priorities, gaps, and potential opportunities, drive evaluation of strategic alternatives.
+ Execute and/or resolve moderate-impact business matters.
+ Collect and interpret information (e.g., financial statements, legal contracts, reports, customer analysis).
+ Leverage existing analysis to support program development.
+ Recommend solutions to complex global business scenarios and develop associated execution plans.
+ Communicate and advocate insights to senior business leaders (e.g., Senior Directors, GM-level, CVP) and convey viewpoints through written documents (e.g., memos, reports) and influence models (e.g., meetings, presentations) through moderate iterations of feedback and vetting; build end-to-end storylines and create outlines across multiples projects for less experienced colleagues to leverage.

Qualifications
Required** **Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Experience with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL) to support decision making.
+ Experience building and deploying applications on Azure or other cloud platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years of experience designing and developing tools that support strategic planning, business operations, or corporate development, with a focus on insights and analytics.
+ 5+ years working in a corporate environment in the technology industry, or as part of a software development team within an enterprise company in other industries.
+ Understanding of consumer media and / or gaming industry dynamics, including product development and market trends.
+ Expertise in synthesizing complex data into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.
+ Knowledge of and experience working with Business Process Management tools.
+ Self-starter with analytical and problem-solving skills who's comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment, with rapidly changing requirements.
+ Proven effective communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
