As a Director of Rehab you will be responsible for coordinating all therapeutic services at the facility. The Director of Rehab is required to work within the general methods and procedures, but they must use considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply guidelines to the therapeutic services as needed. The work requires knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations of short-term & long-term care therapy programs. Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for assisting in the management and direction of therapy personnel and all operations of the therapy services. Directs the various therapy departments and coordinates teamwork between them and the nursing department.
+ Responsible for the day-to-day quality of service the therapy programs provide to residents and clients.
+ Works to achieve cohesiveness within the department and ensures follow-through of daily therapy schedules and department policies and procedures. Routinely reviews and updates treatment schedules/caseload distribution, policies and procedures in conjunction with Corporate Policy and Procedures and various committees.
+ Participates in planning and controlling budgets for therapy services.

Qualifications:
+ Graduate of accredited occupational or physical therapy program
+ Current licensed occupational therapist, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist, physical therapy assistant, or Speech-Language Pathologist. Must maintain license.
+ Additional education or experience in long-term care therapy preferred.
+ Demonstrated understanding of MDS and Medicare regulations required.
+ Previous supervisory experience desired.
+ Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with staff, residents, vendors, and volunteers.
+ Ability to lift over 60 pounds at various times as necessary. Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, squat, twist and engage in repetitive motion for extended periods of time.
