    Amentum (Annapolis Junction, MD)


    Amentum is seeking a skilled **Mechanical Trades Person** to join our team for an OCONUS construction project. This project will last approximately 8-months. This will be an opportunity to work on a high-impact project in a dynamic environment. The position will require the following attributes and responsibilities:

     

    + Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace

    + Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals

    + Be responsible for the planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments

    + Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.

    + Select materials necessary for the work

    + Install and test FCU / Piping / Insulation / Cladding

    + Install and Test Chiller Unit to include piping / insulation / cladding

    + Install fire suppression piping and components

    + Install toilet plumbing and fixtures

    + Assist with the overall project goals, to include material handling, housekeeping and various activities that may arise during the course of the work

    + Performs other duties and activities as directed.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Must have a Secret US Government Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Security Clearance

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent

    + OCONUS Experience

    + 4 years working in the trade

    + Construction Journeyman

    * The annual starting hourly rate for this position is between **$40.00-$45.00 per hour** . Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.​
