Position Summary:
We are looking for a Space Planner to join our crew in our Fort Lauderdale, FL Support Center. This position is accountable for developing high-quality planograms and planoguides from concept to completion that accurately reflect assortment decisions, category strategies, merchandising standards and are designed for optimal presentation and successful execution in Stores. This role works collaboratively with a variety of cross functional partners from Category Managers, Assortment Planning, Operations and Field Teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Design and update planograms and planoguides as outlined in New Product Releases (NPR), Product Maintenance calendar and as identified for new/remodel Store projects.
+ Create computer-generated, written merchandise direction and on occasion live (physical) merchandise sets working with the Category Managers, Assortment Planning, Replenishment, Store Operations and field teams to ensure proper product placement and optimal in-stock numbers.
+ Each planogram update will include multiple versions to accommodate variations in assortment, store size and regional customer profiles.
+ Complete and maintain all planogram files to support planogram cut-ins & maintenance.
+ Analyze current space allocation vs. business trends and average stock levels, ensuring that planograms are fiscally feasible.
+ Manage all activity outlined on project calendars for categories of responsibility including writing cover letter direction, determining and compiling master packet components, facilitating the packet review process, coordinating project packet and label production.
+ Special projects as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills:
+ Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and ability to compile, analyze and create computer models of data
+ 3+ years of professional experience or equivalent experience.
+ Efficiently create complex layout drawings using “ProSpace” (or equivalent) space management software and written documentation with photos and illustrations as planoguide direction for key product categories.
+ Experienced working with Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Word
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Demonstrate detailed analytical and critical thinking
+ Use advanced analytical skills – both quantitative and qualitative as related to spatial analysis and organization
+ Negotiate, resolve conflicts and build consensus
+ Demonstrate good judgment and maintain confidentiality
+ Maintain a focus on Customer service
+ Ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience (Category Managers, Assortment Planning & Replenishment, Store Operations, Field Teams)
+ Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
+ Boating experience or knowledge of boating products and programs is highly preferred
+ Adobe Suite, Photoshop experience a plus
