Responsibilities

+ Providing massage treatments to patients upon referral from the RN Case Manager

+ Reviewing patient chart and medical history prior to initiating treatment

+ Working within the complementary and alternative health care client bill of rights

+ Documenting all patient visits according to policies and procedures

+ Actively participating in the hospice interdisciplinary team

+ Participating in the QAPI hospice performance improvement program

+ Ensuring compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements

+ Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

+ Formal massage training and education from an accredited or approved program

+ National Certification by the Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork preferred

+ Licensed in the state of operation

+ 2+ years clinical experience as a massage therapist

+ Understanding of the hospice philosophy
