    Our Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and capable of handling complex accounting functions in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP

    + Manage month-end and year-end close processes

    + Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy

    + Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts monthly, identify discrepancies, and propose corrective actions

    + Assist with external audits, providing documentation and analysis

    + Assist with filing tax returns and work with external tax advisors to ensure compliance

    + Prepare and ensure compliance with all tax filings including sales tax

    + Analyze financial data and trends to support budgeting and forecasting efforts

    + Track fixed assets, calculate depreciation, and maintain the asset register

    + Develop and monitor internal accounting policies and ensure compliance

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and logistics

    + Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose automation or process enhancements

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

    + 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting

    + CPA or equivalent certification preferred

    + Proficiency in data management tools; Familiarity with Avalara, Power BI, Salesforce, and Microsoft software’s is preferred

    + Strong knowledge of GAAP

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite)

    + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    + High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

    + Versatility to work in various accounting functions and work with other teams

    + Strong communication skills and relationship building with various departments

    + Ability to interpret financial data, trends, and variances

    + Skilled at identifying financial or operational issues and implementing solutions

    + Handles sensitive financial information responsibly and maintains confidentiality

    + Contributes to team development and shares best practices
