    Position Overview

    The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) administers the Department of Energy's (DOE) Project Leadership Institute (PLI). PLI is a development program at SLAC with a mission to cultivate successful DOE project delivery practitioners, through academic and experiential learning, to successfully deliver high profile, high-risk projects on behalf of the DOE's Office of Science.

     

    We are seeking an experienced Program Administrator to support the PLI team with a broad range of operational and administrative duties. Reporting directly to the PLI Director, the administrator plans, executes, and tracks business operations for the PLI program including applicant and cohort management, financial oversight and budget management, operational leadership, as well as data and systems development.

     

    SLAC is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) laboratory _operated by Stanford University and based in Menlo Park, CA._

    Your specific responsibilities include:

    + Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities and program for the Project Leadership Institute (PLI) functional area by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.

    + Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.

    + Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.

    + Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert.

    + Lead the logistical strategy and execution for complex, multi-day national events, including venue evaluation, vendor management, and travel coordination.

    + Manages program finances through multiple funding sources

    + Reviews event expenditures and advises financial adjustments

    + Manages travel, lodging, and speaker reimbursements.

    + Manages applicant communications and records

    + Administer the cohort selection process

    + Manages and maintains the PLI website and social media feeds

    + Coordinate and maintain the PLI program calendar

    + _Other duties may also be assigned_

    To be successful in this position you will bring:

    + Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

    _The expected pay range for this position is $99,015 - $126,383 per annum. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory/Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs._
