Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Air Systems Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The position is the Maintenance Division Director (AB31) within the ASG Logistics Department. Responsibilities You will function in either an immediate or intermediate capacity and coordinate the efforts of three or more employees. You will lead organization in realizing both the local Division (i.e. Aircraft or Weapons Division) and the NAVAIR Strategic Plan. You will carry out the full range of combined technical and administrative direction of others. You will ensure sound fiscal management by observing and apply STRL position management and classification principles. You will/may also act as a project or program manager for major system developments, the direction of technology-based research, or business initiatives which have the highest significance to the agency's needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band (NM-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Utilizing advanced logistics concepts, principles, and practices to provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and to take concluding action on any area of logistics for the assigned aviation program; (2) Coordinating and/or assigning work assignments to subordinates based on organizational priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and/or capabilities of employees; (3) Identifying resource requirements and developing plans to support current and future program needs; (4) Providing technical leadership, training, and guidance to subordinates, contractors, and/or integrated program team members; (5) Applying knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, and practices of all aspects of program management to provide systems acquisition management and life-cycle support for assigned program; and (6) Providing guidance on maintenance planning and sustainment issues.
