BAE Systems is seeking a Junior Linux Administrator to support our Test Team. The role involves providing mission-critical support to our customer, Monday through Friday, 6:30am-4:00pm, and collaborating with remote engineering resources.

Key responsibilities include:

+ Day-to-day operation of customer applications

+ Monitoring and investigating system interfaces

+ Troubleshooting system anomalies with support personnel

+ Participating in problem escalation with vendors and subject matter experts

+ Providing weekday support to identify and resolve system issues

The Junior Linux Administrator will work under the direction of the Site Operations and Sustainment Lead and perform additional duties as required. Linux operating system experience is necessary for this position.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Associates degree and 2 year(s) related experience or equivalent experience is an acceptable substitute

+ Must hold a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance

+ Able to pass Counter Intelligence Polygraph

+ Experience with Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred)

+ Working knowledge of hypervisor technology (eg. VMWare)

+ Exposure to Oracle, or other relational databases

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Associates degree and 4 year(s) related experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
