Job Title: Quality Technician- NDT Level II Inspector

Job Description:

L3 Harris is seeking an experienced NDT Level II Inspector in Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) to join our Norfolk, VA team.

Essential Functions:

+ Perform Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) weld inspections.

+ Perform welding inspections per NAVSEA and AWS standards.

+ Oversee NDT resources across multiple facilities, providing support to sub-contract vendors, and maintaining accurate documentation.

+ Perform inspections of work areas and other quality assessments.

+ Review and finalize records at the conclusion of each work package for storage.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) of welds, preferably with NAVSEA experience

+ Proficient use of weld inspection tools, including weld gauges, NDT equipment, and micrometers

+ ASNT Level II certification in Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) or the ability to obtain it.

+ Capable of interpreting technical data, blueprints, and specifications

+ Must be a US Citizen.

+ Ability to obtain Security Clearance required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

+ Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system a plus

+ NBPI and NACE certifications preferred but not required.

+ Costpoint experience preferred.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while promoting change within the organization.
