    **Job Title:** Material Handling Lead

    **Manager Title** Plant Manager

    **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt, Full-Time

    Job Summary:

    The Material Handling Lead is responsible for shipping, receiving, inspecting, and properly storing incoming parts for our equipment to ensure easy accessibility and retrieval in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensures that the production schedule is followed and assigns work to other Warehouse Attendants as needed.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Receives and unloads incoming materials, verifies quantities shown on packing slips to actual items received and matches to the original purchase order and Fecon part number; documents location for entry into the ERP system and creates new locations for new parts.

    + Ensures that assigned work areas operate in a pro-active safety focused methodology.

    + Follows production schedule in assigned work areas to satisfy internal and external customer requirements per date required.

    + Prioritizes, schedules, and delegates work assignments.

    + Provides ongoing performance feedback via area board and daily area meetings. Celebrates successes, addresses complaints, and resolves problems.

    + Trains workers to complete work in assigned area.

    + Manages daily area meetings and ensures boards are updated daily.

    + Conducts a visual inspection of parts and documents any shipping damage; reports damaged goods to vendor and work in conjunction with the vendor to resolve damaged issues.

    + Facilitates supplier returns for Fecon; obtains return materials authorization (RMA) and properly packages parts for return to the supplier.

    + Delivers service parts upon request or as necessary.

    + Performs warehouse transfers by pulling parts and moving them from one warehouse to the next and performing transfer function within our ERP system.

    + Handles the returns of Parts orders coming back to Fecon, conducts inspection, checks the parts in, determines shelf location and replaces the parts on the appropriate shelf accordingly.

    + Works in conjunction with other shipping personnel to ensure all parts labels are accurate and create new labels for parts that are moved or new to the warehouse.

    + Responsible for material handling duties including stocking material, replenishing production lines, kitting parts, and managing corresponding ERP transactions.

    + Ensures the department is orderly and organized by maintaining the 5S standards.

    + Assist with cycle counting at assigned Plant

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    + Performs daily forklift inspections and operates a forklift.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    + Operates a motor vehicle.

    + Operates forklift.

    + Operates various material moving equipment including pallets carts and electric lifts.

    + Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

    + Ability to multi-task.

    + Understands basic computer skills.

    Education and Experience:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Minimum of 2 years of prior shipping and/or receiving experience.

    + Valid Driver’s License is required.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to stand most of the workday.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to lift higher than 50 pounds with additional help (i.e., crane, another person).

    + Ability to walk, sit, use hands or fingers for gripping pressure to carry, lift, push or pull items with machine assistance and operate hand controls for majority of the day.

    + Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, balance on scaffolding, climb stairs and ladders, repeatedly bend, twist while rotating at the waist, reach above their head, place wrist or feet in prolonged positions of flexion or extension and operate foot controls.

    + Ability to work in varying weather and temperatures.
