Description:

Valero is looking for a Credit Analyst to join the Asphalt & Specialty Products group in the Treasury Department. The Credit Analyst evaluates and controls the lines of credit of clients and potential clients based on the policies and procedures established to mitigate the risks of uncollectable as well as achieving greater collection for the Company through the execution of the collection efforts. Responsibilities may include:

* Assess and Control customer and prospect credit lines to mitigate the risk of non-collectable credit.

* Ensure and execute collection management of the client's loan portfolio in order to contribute to the decrease in delinquency and to achieve a greater collection for the Company.

* Analyze and Execute Order Release requests to control overdraft and delinquency levels.

* Manage and Control the processes and activities of the area through updating and entering data from clients and potential clients in order to help achieve through this activity up-to-date information that helps in decision making

* Evaluate, recommend and register credit lines for new customers by maintaining continuity of the sales process, based on their autonomy.

* Safeguards collateral for credit lines in order to keep them available if they are to be executed.

* Coordinates with the insurer/entrencher to obtain covered credit lines.

* Records customer credits, when necessary.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Accounting or Finance, required.

* 3 years of experience in credit, collections, banking, accounting or related, required.

* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
