UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Casual Gift Shop Employee to support the Gift Shop department!
**This position will work 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday as needed.** _Hours are subject to change based on business needs._
The Gift Shop Employee is responsible for providing service to visitors, patients, and employees in the Garden View Gift Shop.
Responsibilities:
+ Deliver gift items to patient rooms as directed by the manager.
+ Operate cash register and substantiates all over rings and voids as directed by the manager.
+ Stock and clean giftware shelves, jewelry cases, baby shop and related areas. Stock magazines, cards, and toy shelves. Report low stock levels to manager.
+ Greet and assist customers in the boutique, baby, and gift areas of the shop. Offer gift-wrap service as appropriate.
+ Responsible for following the mandatory reporting procedures for any incident or serious event that did affect or potentially could have affected the clinical care of any patient.
• Reading and arithmetic ability necessary to maintain stock ledgers and balance and operate a cash register normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively service patrons, stock inventory and understand shop operations normally acquired through one to three months on the job training.
