Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:
The Sales & Service Coordinator is responsible for increasing ticket sales and revenue through the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives for Lamar University Athletics. Reporting to the Manager of Sales & Service, this position conducts direct sales of season tickets, mini plans, and group packages, while also supporting ticket operations and ensuring compliance with NCAA , Southland Conference, and institutional regulations.
What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and Execute Ticket Sales Strategies
+ Generate ticket revenue via high-volume outbound calls, plus e-mails, texts, stadium tours and in-person presentations.
+ Renew, upsell and cross-sell the season-ticket base; manage prospect list in ticketing CRM .
+ Sell season, mini-plan, group, single-game and stand-alone donations for all ticketed sports.
+ Maintain accurate records of sales activities and performance metrics including calls made, tickets sold, and revenue generated.
+ Support Game Day Ticketing Operations
+ Assist with on-site ticket operations during home athletic events, as needed.
+ Support ticket sellers and gate personnel, as needed.
+ Assist with setup and troubleshooting of ticketing systems on game days, as needed.
+ Maintain Ticketing Compliance and Records
+ Maintain records and documentation subject to internal and external audits.
+ Ensure adherence to university and athletic department financial policies regarding ticket sales.
+ General Administrative Support
+ Support the Coordinator of Revenue Generation and Manager of Sales and Service with special projects as needed.
+ Attend departmental meetings and training related to ticketing, compliance, and customer service.

+ Knowledge of ticketing systems and basic accounting principles.
+ Skill in sales, relationship building, and customer service.
+ Skill in using Microsoft Office and ticketing software.
+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
+ Ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures related to compliance and fiscal accountability.
+ Ability to maintain accurate and organized records for audit purposes.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift 25 pounds and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings.
Job Conditions:
+ This position requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly during athletic seasons.
+ This position is subject to NCAA and Southland Conference compliance regulations and may require annual training.
+ Employee must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work independently and stay focused on sales goals.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Experience using computerized ticketing systems.
+ Experience handling cash and managing sales transactions.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications
+ Prior experience in collegiate athletics ticket sales or event operations.
