    Job Status: Special Grant-Funded

     

    Reports to: Director of Family Services

    Job Summary

    Provide mobility mentoring assistance and administration for the Mobility Mentoring Program

    Job Responsibilities

    + Assist the Director of Family Services with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as requested by the Program Planning, Research and Evaluation Department.

    + Participate in the recruitment of clients to take part in the Mobility Mentoring Program

    + Work directly with clients in the Mobility Mentoring Program, as assigned by the Director of Family Services. This includes conducting intake appointments or client-follow.

    + Maintain client files as instructed by the Director of Family Services.

    + Attend Urban League of Rochester functions and events.

    + Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Family Services.

    Requirements

    + Requires a minimum of an associates degree; bachelor’s degree with a background in case management, mobility mentoring or motivational interviewing preferred

    + Knowledge of mobility mentoring required; knowledge of case management preferred.

    + Requires 1+ years of experience in client interactions.

    + Experience in civic engagement, financial planning preferred.

    + Demonstrated ability to independently meet deadlines and requirements from supervisors.

    + Excellent written and oral communications skills.

    + Capacity to manage multiple projects and assignments, often with competing deadlines.

    + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines.

    + Knowledge of the dynamics of race and class within the political economy of contemporary urban America.

    + Competency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Access, and Excel.

    + Must be able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.

    Salary Description

    18 to 20 an hour (depending on experience)
