The Product Compliance EMC Engineer will join a small and focused team of compliance engineers dedicated to assuring and improving the compliance of new products and product enhancements to national and international product compliance standards and regulations. This position is hybrid, in office 3 days a week in Beaverton, OR.

The specific product compliance activities include.

+ EMC reviews of designs and prototype construction; including circuit board layouts, schematics, mechanical drawings and customer documentation providing guidance to design teams.

+ Conducting EMC testing; evaluating the results; and preparing reports.

+ Maintaining EMC Lab facilities.

+ Reviewing new product compliance regulations to determine their impact on new and existing product lines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and coordinating the activities required to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance across multiple product lines.

The role involves working with multiple functional groups within Keithley and Tektronix to support new product design and sustaining engineering activities worldwide.

This Product Compliance Engineer is expected to become the technical liaison for compliance issues on the projects and teams assigned to them.

As such, this Product Compliance Engineer will be responsible to communicate regularly with other members of the Compliance and Reliability groups as well as to other design/manufacturing centers worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have.

+ Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, preferred EE or Physics.

+ At least 10 years’ experience working in product compliance roles.

+ Expertise with the European Union’s EMC Directive and the EN 61326-1 standard.

+ Familiarity with the European Union’s Low Voltage Directive and the EN61010-1 standard, as well as the U.S. (UL-61010-1) and Canada (CSA C22.2#61010-1) variants.

+ Familiarity with the European Union’s Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive.

+ Familiarity with test and measurement products, including digital multimeters and power supplies.

+ Experience with product compliance reviews of prototype products, including reviews of schematics, drawings, and other technical documents.

+ Experience testing products for EMC.

+ MS Office applications proficiency.

+ Excellent communications, spoken and written; proficient describing compliance requirements with technical and non-technical staff; comfortable speaking to groups.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 81,200.00 - 150,800.00
