Job Description

Avid Acceptance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our Account Servicing Department. This role is essential in managing delinquent customer accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and reducing company losses. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and negotiator who enjoys working in a team environment and is committed to excellence in customer service.

What You’ll Do:

+ Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and assist in resolving outstanding balances.

+ Identify, track, and investigate delinquent accounts to determine the best course of action.

+ Work closely with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and guide them through repayment options.

+ Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and maintain positive relationships.

+ Use databases to monitor and update account status, including changes related to bankruptcies, repossessions, and other relevant events.

+ Complete Welcome Calls with new customers, ensuring they understand their payment options and account terms.

+ Monitor impounds and take necessary action to secure company collateral.

+ Validate and approve due date changes and deferments when necessary.

+ Assist with office duties and administrative tasks as needed.

Skills, Education, and Experience

+ High school diploma or equivalent; bilingual skills are a plus.

+ Experience in collections or past-due payment recovery (preferred but not required).

+ Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

+ Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

+ High level of personal commitment and reliability.

+ Basic computer literacy and ability to use databases.
